Portrait of Masashi Hasegawa against a dark background.

MasashiHasegawa

A composer working across stage, film, performance, and spatial experience—beginning with listening to the story, the place, and what remains unspoken.

COMPOSER / EXPERIENCE DESIGNER / VISUAL DIRECTOR

A practice rooted in listening.

Before choosing an instrument or a form, Masashi begins by listening—to the story, the place, the people within it, and the atmosphere around them. Composition, performance, experience design, and visual direction are not separate departments of his practice. They are different ways of shaping how a work is encountered, felt, and remembered.

One practice.
Several forms.
