After many years of working together, director Naotaka Hiratsuka entrusted Masashi with responding freely to the film through music.

The score follows the story’s shifting layers around a single theme. In the interview, Masashi discusses this approach, the revisions made after sharing the music with the director, and his experience of visiting the locations in person.
